Senior Event Manager

Clara began her journey in hospitality studying Event Management at university in Edinburgh. She then went on to become a manager at a Gastro pub in Wedmore (she is very good at pouring the perfect pint!). She has also worked at a Glamping site at Glastonbury festival. Initially beginning as an Event Manager at our sister venue Coombe Lodge in 2018, she then

progressed to Senior Event Manager at Priston Mill in September 2021. She loves nothing more than creating the perfect day for our couples, and her calm, collected approach keeps us all sane.

Currently on maternity leave after having her first baby, little Milo, we are all looking forward to her returning to the office in October!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? 

I love sport! So I’ll usually be playing or watching it. I also have a beautiful son called Milo who takes up the majority of my spare time now! So you’ll usually find us out for a family walk or on a coffee date with some friends. 

Fun fact about you? 

I have a horse called Harvey who has no front teeth, he walks around with his tongue hanging out all the time! 

What’s at the top of your bucket list? 

Go to Japan! I am addicted to sushi so I would eat my way around every sushi restaurant.

What’s your favourite thing about your job? 

Watching the first dance. The bride and groom are surrounded by their friends and family with so

much love in the room, about to dance the night away. For me it’s knowing that you have done

everything you can to make their day perfect and hope it’s everything they’ve ever dreamed of! 

Top tip? 

Go with your instincts, it’s your day so don’t let too many people sway you with their opinions. The planning can be stressful so try and remember to enjoy it, you’re planning a huge party for the

people you love the most so it should be fun!
